All you need to know about the SFTS

The Société Française de Transfusion Sanguine (SFTS) is a non-profit organisation founded in 1938. Its aim is to promote progress in the field of blood transfusion and haemobiology through meetings, congresses and conferences. As a learned society, it constantly adapts to developments in the field and works with the public authorities, particularly through Continuing Professional Development (CPD), to support the training of blood transfusion professionals.

The key event in the world of blood transfusion will be the 31st SFTS Congress in Toulouse from 29 November to 1 December 2023. Chaired by France Pirenne (President of the SFTS), this biennial event focuses on innovation and welcomes the French-speaking community from Europe, Africa and West Asia to the Centre des Congrès Pierre Baudis.

Under the direction of Dr Laurent Bardiaux, the dense and rich congress programme will highlight the lessons learned from the pandemic as well as the scientific advances, providing a solid platform for blood transfusion professionals to exchange ideas. The event promises an in-depth exploration of innovation and a strengthening of ties within the community.
