A look back at EEBA 2024

Illustration : retour-en-image-de-leeba-2024From 7 to 9 March 2024, Inlog participated in the EEBA (European Eyes Bank Association) annual congress in Antwerp, Belgium. This major event brought together healthcare professionals, scientists, researchers and companies from all over the world to discuss the latest advances in the field of eye banking and cellular tissue.

Inlog was pleased to welcome attendees to its stand to present its cutting-edge software solution for cell therapy and tissue banking management, EdgeCell. Our expert, David Delay, was on hand to discuss the specific needs of professionals and demonstrate how the intuitive EdgeCell software can optimise process efficiency and safety.

The EEBA congress was also an opportunity to highlight the importance of organ donation, HLA and cell therapy in the field of public health.

Organ donation is a generous act that saves lives. In France in 2023, more than 22,000 people were waiting for an organ transplant. Every day, 22 people die waiting for a vital organ.

HLA plays a crucial role in the compatibility of donor and recipient during a transplant. The more similar the HLA characteristics, the greater the likelihood of a successful transplant.

Cell therapy is a promising approach that uses living cells to treat, cure or prevent disease. This therapy is used in the treatment of various pathologies, such as cancer, heart disease, neurological disorders and autoimmune diseases.
