The different types of document

In order to guarantee control of document flows, traceability of document life cycles, accessibility and distribution in accordance with the quality rules in force, the Docalis module is based on the following technical principles:

  • Documents are always based on predefined, customisable templates for each type of document. These templates contain information relating to the life cycle of the document, such as the version number, the people involved in drafting it, its links with workbooks, processes, etc., which are automatically updated and appear in the body of the document.
  • These documents (as well as the templates) are produced using a document editor (software) supported by Docalis, which guarantees the updating of the variable fields in the document.

External documents

In addition to these “model” documents, Docalis is capable of integrating any other document, whatever its type. These documents, known as “supplied” because they are created independently of Docalis, are treated in the same way as documents based on a model.

Recording management

The Docalis online library can be used to store recordings (e.g. meeting minutes, information notes, etc.) and manage distribution to the people concerned.

Association of documents

You can link your documents to a product, a supplier, an item, etc. These documents can be consulted directly from these elements.
